Sliding Scale CSA
Sliding Scale CSA
We do not want the cost of a CSA share to prevent you from eating healthy! We have a started a program to allow for sliding scale payment and payment plans. If the CSA price is prohibitive, please “purchase” this option and fill out the application for a supported share -- the application does not ask for sensitive financial information but allows us to find a price possible for the farm and your family!
Payment plans are also possible. “Purchase” this option below, and I will provide you with next steps!
Two Roots Farm can now accept SNAP benefits! If you receive SNAP and would like to purchase a CSA share, please email me at farmers@tworootsfarm.com as it is a separate process.
Alternatively, if you are able to donate and help support your fellow members, please add this option to your cart and I will reach out for next steps. Local food angels help make it possible for us to provide discounted shares to hard working families in our community!
We have set the market price for our CSA based on what it takes to keep our farm viable. However, we also understand it is not cheap. With some folks paying a bit more and others paying a bit less, we expect the farm will still be able to make what is needed to treat our workers, the land, and our eaters well.
Consider what is possible for you and let us know! We are happy to work with you to make CSA feasible and enjoyable for your family.
Weekly Vegetable Shares (21 weeks):
Market Rate: $1350
Every Other Week Vegetable Shares (11 weeks):

Navigating the Scale: If you're unsure about where you fall on the scale, here are some guidelines to assist you:
Consider paying less on the scale if you:
Are supporting children or have other dependents
Have significant debt
Have medical expenses not covered by insurance
Have tuition/educational expenses
Receive public assistance
Have immigration-related expenses
Are a senior citizen
Have health issues
Consider paying more on the scale if you:
Have investments, retirement accounts, inherited money
Travel recreationally often
Work part-time by choice
Own the home you live in
Have a relatively high degree of earning power due to level of education (or gender and racial privilege, class background, etc.)
The sliding scale applies only to our vegetable shares. Please note that our egg, fruit, and flower add-ons are not priced on a sliding scale. Unfortunately, as we buy these add-on shares from other farmers, we don’t have the flexibility to offer different price points for those products.
The scale is intended to be a map, inviting each of us to take inventory of our financial resources and look deeper at our levels of financial privilege. It is a way to work towards economic justice on a local level. While we do ask you to look inward, please don't stress about it. Pay what feels right.
Thank you to Underground Alchemy, Soul Fire Farm, Radherb, Third Root, and the Kula Center for their inspiration, dedication, and work with developing sliding scale models.
Ready to sow the seeds of change? Choose your vegetable share, pick up fresh produce every week or every other week, and be a part of the Two Roots family.
Let's grow together! 🌱✨
